Great idea, thx! So much cheaper than the ones I’ve seen online.

Don’t forget the heat source, if you get cold enough it can damage your crops. Even a space heater set to turn on if the temperature gets below a certain level will help. Add a thermometer too.
I would have to heat it to do this where I live.
Looks amazing though, good job with the panels those things are no joke, I set up four of them and the first two were a nightmare doing it alone.
The third and fourth however were super easy because I got smart and tied the panels up with thick rope so I was able to just drag it into place alone, I untied them and they snapped right into their new homes!
I used T posts to set mine up, one if for grapes, another for a hardy kiwi and two for vine crops.
I plan on adding several more in the future to my raised beds.

Beautiful, FYI those zippers will last till the first wind storm and they pull off. I ended up building a frame for a door. But great start!!

Not trying to be a butt, but the wind will take that sail down.

I'm interested in how this does after a few months. None of the cheapie greenhouse or hoophouses I've made have worked out. I want a legit high tunnel so bad! The cheap diy ones always rip because the structures moves in the wind too much, or something with the structure breaks, or something...

Do you think the zipper will last the winter? I saw another youtuber do more of a overlapped flap. I would be worried a zipper would freeze shut but I guess in the winter a flap may not be the best idea.

Do you have a truck to get cattle panels home? I never can figure out how to buy them and get them home.

But what can you plant as the sun doesn’t shine as much in the winter months so it won’t affect the quality/taste of certain foods ?

I need a greenhouse out here but if I had one like that the wind would shred that thing like a sparrow sucked in a jet engine

I thought those things still need insulation??? Thats the only reason i havent done mine.

You’re not going to secure the whole thing simply so you don’t use power tools? Wind will pull that thing around like a sail if it isn’t fastened to something…why risk it?
