"The god Xolotl" *uses a picture of Poseidon*

There are plenty pictures of the god Xolotl .... just google. If you are going to make an informative video, at least get the information right. That includes images.

You missed one of the oldest and longest surviving dog breed, The Indian Pariah Dog. It is the species that is believed to have naturally selected DNA in it (basically a product of natural selection). It is considered to be the root of many other dog breeds around the world, including the Carolina Dog. Fossil remains of Pariah Dogs have been found at sites thousands of kilometres away from the borders of the Indian Subcontinent. They are known for their strong immune system, intelligence, loyalty and ability to adapt to any climatic conditions.

Where’s siberian huskies? They are over 3, 000 years old and their breed history is very interesting

Maybe you forgot the age old (ancient) dog beeds from Japan; Shiba Inu, Akita Inu, Hokkaido, Kai Ken, Kishu Inu and Shikoku Inu are going back as far as 7000 bc (presumably older) in service to mankind.
These breeds have even retained the ancestral looks of ''real'' dogs.

Carolina Dog, Dingo, Rhodesian Ridgeback, African Basenji, Indian Pariah Dog, and New Guinea Singing Dog are your oldest breeds. They're basal dogs that have very few DNA mutations from the original dogs.

the ancestor of all domesticated dogs is the extinct taimyr wolf. there are dog remains buried along with human remains 36, 000 years old. genetically, the closest domesticated dog related to the taimyr wolf is the original siberian (husky type) sled dog and greenland dog. coincidentally they both look the most like the extinct gray wolf ancestor.

People in the comments are pretty ignorant 🤦🏻‍♂️ stop saying oh you left this out. It says top 10 and not all ancient dog breeds, if they make another list I'm pretty sure they'll add some they didn't before, so chill lol

I have a Chinese Shar Pei. They’re amazing ❤️ Fact not mentioned about Puli’s and Shar Pei. The Puli’s cords (not dreadlocks) and the Pei’s wrinkles were bred specifically so that when guarding against enemy species, their wrinkles or cords would be grabbed rather than their vital organs, thus higher likelihood for survival.

By sheer chance my wife and I adopted a Carolina Dog.

Hard to raise? Confrontational? Nonsense! There are a few unusual behaviors of the breed, but if our girl is a good example, then they are actually extremely easy to raise. They need a lot of walks and they are on the very low end of physical affection for dogs. She gets anxious and barks at strange men, especially if they are large or deep-voiced. And she can be a little stubborn on the leash - training requires patience and repetition.

However, they are still extremely loyal and loving, sweet, intelligent and non-destructive. We've had her for about ten months and she hasn't damaged a single article of clothing. The only time she crapped in the house was when she got a stomach flu, and we had her since she was four months old. The only person she would ever bite is me, and that is on my hands and forearms and only lightly, because that's the only place she's allowed to bite in play with anyone. I would have no fear if I had to take a raw steak out of her mouth. I'd just feel bad about it.

Our experience with our little Carolina Dog has been wonderful. She's sleeping peacefully on the couch behind me as I write this. They are a beautiful and healthy breed - people frequently compliment her when I walk her, even to the point of cars rolling down windows. If you're lucky enough to end up with one, treat it gently, because they don't respond well to harsh treatment. They do understand consequences and praise, and despite their wild background, they love to please. Just give yours a lot of attention and it will pay dividends.

please people the Salouki is a north african dog kept by the berbers and other nomadic tribes not arabs they got a hold of this dog at a much later date. Not all north africans are arabs we have our own history and should not be confused with arab history
