Workers' Precarity in Myanmar: From the reform era to the post-coup moment

As part of IHRDGs 2022 Seminar Series, Prof. Stephen Campbell delivered a lecture on how the 2021 military coup has affected lower-class labourers in Myanmar (focusing on Yangon) and how they are coping with new forms of precarity. Through detailed ethnographic evidence, Prof. Campbell provides a visceral comparison of the pre- and post-coup political economy of Myanmar and how it impacts everyday livelihoods.
