Thanks for such a cogent and straightforward explanation - you're probably the easiest 'explainer' to listen to on the Internet. We used a Bursakart recently when we were visiting family in Bursa and the Istanbulkart seems identical in conception and use. We've been to Istanbul many, many times but never once used an Istanbulkart. Off there again in April, God willing, and this time I'll be following your instructions. Tesekkur ederiz!

It is very complicated, you need HES code and registration . You can not get it like that anymore. Better not to travel to Turkey.
