It looks cool in specific circumstaces, like some reality breaking event happens, out when using an ability, but having it on all the time is cheap

Less games are doing it now but I think one of the reasons many games have this as a default toggled on, especially older games, is because of hardware limitations although I may be wrong. Im pretty sure they did this because the game runs significantly poorer in most consoles with it toggled off so it’s used as a way to boost the games performance.

Seriously, why do games even have it? Or worse, have it on by DEFAULT? I'm not gonna be playing while wearing old 3d glasses.
