Gankers are really smart in todays gathering zones. Here are some help for players that are planning to go to danger zones.

High mobility Weapon:
Bloodletter, double blade staff, bear paws, Battle bracers, great hammer.

Helmets:

Miner helmet: Deals with stuns and silence. Pairs with the sword ability that prevents purge and miner boots.
Cloth helmets: Second ability of helmet pairs with high mobility weapons.
Guardian helmet: Remove damage over time(curse bleeding, poison). Pairs with invisibility potion and/or specter boots.
Knight helmet: Kind of weak vs options listed above. If you are a greedy gatherer and hate teleporting back to town with just 20% capacity after 4-6 gankers shows up on your map. You can run to the next map with this item and the combination of others: high mobility weapon, Fort Sterling cape, Cleaning potion, mercenary shoes.

Chest piece:

Gathering & assassin jacket: Pairs with high mobility weapons. Go invisible and wait until the last second to dash in the opposite direction of the gankers using your weapon first and then your shoes ability.
Guardian armor: Weak option but may work. If you are dying to fast you can try this item.

Boots:

Miner boots: The best option for someone that press buttons incorrectly when a gankers appears. Pair with sword and use the w that prevents purge. None sword users may require the help of assassin jacket + the mobility skills of your weapon to make some space to prevent purge.
Specter shoes: requires the help of mobility weapons to make some space and some times Guardian helmet to remove DOT(damage over time) before you use the boots skill. Another item that helps this shoes is the Brecilien cape. Is a good method to escape from multiple gankers. The problem here is that you can get revealed if you don't clean the DOT with the helmet, random skill attacks, Guardian armor, and some other skills. One look so stupid if it doesn't work.
Harvester boots: It has some potential but it require some skill. You need to make it looks you are going in one direction when in reality you are going in the opposite direction.
Royal sandal: Weak option vs 3 or more gankers. Pairs with high mobility weapon and low cool down. It seems that the weapon of choice is Double blade staff. Healing potion may helps here since you will be faster than the ganker. Invisibility potion is an option if you understand when and why you should use it.
Soldier boots: A pretty old recommendation. Gankers are aware of it and know how to stop it. I only recommend this boots to veterans gatherers(I guess they already know by now)

i can't wait to get better gear, gonna go gank t8 gatherers in yellow zones. they're the most cancerous type of player. literally will steal a purple bush from a new player with their insta harvest t8 tool. my god i hate them so much.
