A new perspective on insurance that you need to hear...

Have you ever thought why your spouse or your child should have Critical illness insurance (CI).
I work as an independent financial adviser rep and do insurance advisory, I've heard so many different point of views
- We have enough assets, if critical illness hits, we can certainly sell our assets!
- Children are not earning money yet why spend on premium to be insurance on them?

But if your spouse or your kid is not well, you are going to face the question of giving up work, career goals, career progression
OR go on an unsustainable choice of both status quo in work and taking care of family.

Think about it. What if you plan everything ahead when there's no turbulence, it is easier.
If things are pre-discussed, it's going to be smoother if a problem comes. That is the power of proper insurance planning and communication.

Thanks for sharing Josh, always appreciate your insight. I think many people are wary of insurance agents and the shitty investment-linked policies or endowment plans they push to us. But critical illness insurance is something that everybody needs.

I would say ppl do some much study on how to grow assets but why don’t just spend some time and money to study and protect yrself and love ones if (touchwood) anything happened to the family
That’s why I search this sort of medical insurance video and it brings me back to yr video in 2023
Thanks Josh

Totally agree with u… for most insurance just take it as a small form of savings when we are healthy, and term plans (slightly cheaper way) to boost the coverage till a reasonable age while we can focus on our career.

However, one aspects for H&S policies I hope the industry could improve is to have the policy holders some form of rebate/reward for keeping ourselves healthy and not require to make any claim.

Good perspective. From what you are saying it sounds like there is a insurance in the market that one can claim for daily expense once a person discovered that he or she has a critical illness. My understanding is thatI critical illness insurance is only claimable if one is admitted to the hospital ?
