You have taught me so much over the last few weeks. I am ready to get my life back and allow it all. I admit I was thinking positively but fighting in my body. I'm am going to practice fully allowing it ALL. I am well on my way. Couldn't leave my house after lockdown, now back at work, shopping, driving all alone... x

Thanks Michelle I needed this video today. I been off work for two weeks now due to Anxiety. Today was my first day back to work, and i was about to give up and head back home because I felt anxious being away from home. I ended up fighting it, and I stayed there to finish my job. I felt anxious at moments and I didn’t give up. I just hate when I’m working and I just monitor my shaky hands.

This may be one of the best explanations on what allow and accept really means. Let the negative sensation be there without trying to get rid of it.

Hi Michelle:
I have struggled brutally with panic, dp/dr, agoraphobia for almost 48 years. I don’t know how to accept/allow the thoughts feelings that provoke this. It’s taken me a long time to reach out to you about this as I am a very private person. Do you allow contact via email, I’m struggling cruelly and desire more suggestions/direction.

I think the problem is even if you do this a lot of times it still keeps coming back (nervous system takes very long do desensitize) so that’s why people get annoyed bc it feels like it’s not working if the feelings keep coming back even tho you are doing the acceptance allowance and diffusing

How can you focus and pay attention to new things being thrown at you on the first day of a job for example, when your alarm, thoughts, sensations, etc are so loud they’re taking all of your mental space? Like you may be DAREing but that’s taking a lot of mental space and energy because the alarm is so loud that you have a hard time focusing on learning or doing the new tasks at hand. And you have to pay full attention to what’s going on in the job because it’s important obviously. I’ve also had the same experience when I was just trying to enjoy myself and pay attention to what’s going on in a movie. Lol anxiety is like that annoying friend who talks during the whole movie. Like sure I can just let you be there and keep doing my thing but it’s hard as hell to focus and listen to the movie when it won’t stop blabbing.

So.. do you allow the racing thoughts to keep happening? Or do you try to distance yourself and observe them? Or both? I'm confused.
