WESTWOOD, Ohio (WKRC) - Three residents and a firefighter were taken to the hospital Tuesday after a fire at a Westwood apartment building.

Firefighters were called to the apartment building on Gobel Avenue at about 7:30 a.m.

Cincinnati Fire Operations Chief Tom Lakamp said multiple people were trapped. Firefighters had to rescue a man from the bottom floor. A couple of people trapped on the second floor jumped to safety.

The man on the first floor and one of the people who jumped were taken to the hospital. No word on their conditions. Lakamp said the injured firefighter suffered a minor injury.

A fourth person was then taken to the hospital. No word on her injury.

A man who lives in the complex said the same apartment caught fire a couple of days ago. Taylor Shepherd said he was told the resident left the stove on and something caught fire.

Lakamp said firefighters had been called several times to the complex in recent weeks.

Investigators are looking into what started Tuesday's fire.
