I think Oda is gonna subvert the expectation of being a trickster and make his character hates tricks since giants have fallen to tricks so often in one piece. Including the personal trick on his wedding with Lola, I’d see prince Loki having a heavy hatred for tricks. Although it could take Ussop to change his mind.

In marineford, doflamingo was ordered to kill Moria, by someone greater than sengoku, and in the panel where all the 5 elders full demonic form were shown, there was no shadow. So it can be possible that they are just zombies and that also explains why they are this old and can't be hurt by anything. Imu has some power greater than moria which can steal shadows or lifespans like this and can summon any of the affected people ( here 5 elders) anywhere.

I think Loki is reckless sure, but ultimately he’s not one to let the sins of the father (or in this case mother) dictate how others are treated. Given that Giants can hold grudges for centuries even to the point of forgetting what they were fighting about over the most petty things I think that could also be something interesting with Loki.

Another thing to think of is who he will be probably named after Utgarda-Loki, who is a trickster liking to put his guests in their places, but overall is a good host, good leader, and very patient.
