We'll start with the #Flair58 💫
.
🔹️Compared to the Gaggia:

With total control over the pressure, you will be able to get drinkable shots almost every time. For instance, the shot we brewed in the video was coming too fast, and we went with only 5 bar of pressure for the entire extraction time(around 38 seconds). If this was the Gaggia, channeling and espresso spurting would have been everywhere with the consistent high pressure (12 or 9 bar).
That being said, getting the perfect shot from the Flair58 is more difficult to achieve compared to the Gaggia. You will need more time to get used to it as you have more variables to worry about, whereas with the Gaggia you will only need to worry about the grind setting and puck prep (in most cases at least).
.
🔹️Our brewing recipe and approach:

We found that the best way to start is by using medium to medium dark roasted coffee instead of using light roastd coffee. Pressure control and flow-rate can be overwhelming to control, especially because it is all manually done.
As for the recipe, we found that giving the fact of the 10 to 15 seconds of puck wetting time that will happen when you fill the brewing chamber, lock the plunger, and start brewing, the best way is to go instantly to 6 or 7 bar of pressure. At that point stop pulling the Lever down and aim for holding the 7 bar pressure without pulling down(hold the position),it is okay if it goes down to 6,9bar or 6.7bar, this means that the pressure is around 7 bar, and the water flow-rate is low. Let the puck soake the water, and once you see the bottom of the basket startes to drip in an even way, go to 8 or 9 bar.
Brewing time is totally subjective to your preference, 40 to 85 seconds should be a reasonable range.

🔹️Current feedback:

It is a wonderful machine, we love everything about it, and we never get board using it. New experiments everyday 💫

DF64 Single dose grinder 💫

🔹️As a stock grinder, without changing the burrs:

It is truly a great grinder. Out of the box, without any type of mods, you will be more than happy with it. It makes good espresso and filter brews, it is single dose for sure, and does not need a lot of time to get used to it.

🔹️Compared to the Niche zero:

Niche zero is an enjoyable grinder to use. Very simple and easy. However, if you are truly into filter coffee, you will definitely be happier with the DF64 filter brews(even as stock burrs). Keep in mind, that while the Niche is reasonably priced, you are paying extra 200$ to 250$ for shipping and tax fees depending on your location(almost double the price of the DF64. That being said, the Niche creates less mess and feels more elegant.
.
🔹️Current feedback:
We believed from the beginning that the DF64 is a great budget friendly single does grinder, that is enjoyable to use out of the box, and gives you the freedom to upgrade its burrs in the future. However, we had to get our hand on it in order to feel confident with our recommendation. It is what it is, a great budget friendly single dose flat burr grinder 💯🤍👌
.
🔹️Kindly note:
we are planing to review all of the SSP burrs including(Cast Version, Multipurpose, and the High Uniformity). Stay tuned for that!

Cinoart PT2 Automatic Tamper 💫

🔹️Current feedback:
After checking a few electric tampers on the market, we can say with full confidence that the Cinoart PT2 is a king in its category 💯👌
-It has reasonable price tag.
-It has the widest range of tamping pressure on the market (2kg to 38kg).
-Auto-leveling the Portafilter.
-Anti-sticking coated tamping base for better cleaning and less mess.
-58.3mm base for more precise tamping action.
-It is worth to mention that the Cinoart team has one of the best customer service and after sales support out there. They are truly passionate about their job, and everything is done in a professional manner.
.
🔹️Things we hope to see in the future:
- A wider tamping base options (58.5mm, 58.6mm), as it is easy to change and upgrade.
-Faster tamping action, this might increase the production costs, but it is nice to offer.
-More stability, as it is slightly less stable on the table compared to other electric tampers.
- Finlay, there is always a room for innovation, we are looking forward to the Cinoart future ideas.
