A game-changing solution to the global food crisis could come from something so tiny you can't see it with the naked eye. Nanomaterials chemist Christy Haynes describes her team's work designing nanoparticles that could protect plants from disease and crop loss, helping farmers reap abundant harvests and grow food that will make its way to markets and dinner tables.

In the year of our lord 2019, USA produced a little 100 million tons of food waste.
Has it ever crossed your mind that the crisis is not caused by a lack of production?

Interesting, but there is a great deal of innovative work already done by the pioneer in this and nanotechnology field, Dr. Mo Segad.

Excellent work, but there's already more than enough food for everyone. The problem of hunger is not a production problem, but rather a distribution problem.

Wow! ❤ Vitamins for plants growing in demineralized soil? Why havent we thought of that before?? Great work, please grow and change the world, plant vitamins tech!

This is incredible. What an improvement in yield!

We could just solve hunger by distributing it and not putting it behind a pay wall for those in need

After watching this video, I learned that nanotechnology and hunger problems are related, and in particular, the most memorable thing was that nanoparticles can reduce food waste by promoting plant growth and health and improving food preservation and safety. In addition, I wanted to explore the possibility of future nanotechnology development. It was a really amazing and interesting video.

The silicone nanopaericles and core structure has capabilities of scientific relevance in all the factors that deem a real possibility to include all aspects of delution of plant particles and the reaction of solisic acid and it components within the study of thier present environment.

no mention of globalization, no mention of localizing farming in adequate locations for better distribution and growth, and absolutely no mention of what the implication of these particles are after eventually entering the human body.. this person has no interest in solving global hunger, just another presentation to lure investors, disgusting..

Dumbest talk ever everyone knows there is no food shortage the problem is distribution not lack of food

With all the food that is wasted currently this is a solution in search of a problem.

Bunch of BS! There is no food problem. There is plenty of food for everyone already. It's a distribution problem. Profit is valued over the well being of others, it's that simple.

Fighting Hunger? What is with this idiotic thinking? Hunger is welcomed, it brings enjoyment and fulfillment after. You can feed humans and animals, not concepts like family. Some people keep Hunger and live with Hunger because when they eat they enjoy life to the fullest. You polute mentally with this idiotic way of thinking. And alot of ilogic.

No. Any particle inside the body is risky & dangerous. It may seem to be an immediate & temporary "solution". However, the long term effect would not be worth the experiment.

Hey Christy why not do a little tiny bit of research on how much food is thrown into the trash year after year, I'm sure you'd be surprised. But I'm also sure you already know and could care less, reason as to why your pumping out all this BS!

No, but food can. If the government and the United Nations would quit sabotaging our food supply, we'd have enough for everyone.

That's honestly a really exciting idea in itself, really informative and fun to know, also can we use these kinds of nano particles in the Arctic to reduce the rate of their heat absorption and reflect more sunlight?
