I don't know why people don't remember Doug Bollinger when they talk about 2010 season. He was one of the primary architects of the turnaround after a series of losses. Came into tournament at the halfway and made a massive difference. He never really has got the credit.

The Auction was not live and learnt about Dhoni being picked for $1.5m in next day news paper. The same day Pepsi ran a ad in news paper with a copy, How many Pepsi can be bought for $1.5m?

My personal experience and example of ipl's financial growth and fan craze - was waiting with tickets for csk vs kkr evening match near stad for my friends. I came from cbe to watch match. Cost of each tkt 300 rs. Some random guy came and asked for ticket and was ready to pay 500 rs. He was already holding cash. I said no. I have come to enjoy match. Thats the craze for the even at that time. After the match i went to to my cousin's wedding reception. Altogether semma vibe.
