Government might be opening the door to be taken to court if it interferes with your business like that. If you make money (company or individual content creator) out of tik tok, since they are on purpose limiting your target audience and as such diminishing or eliminating the income you would generate they open the door to a lawsuit. At least that's my understanding of the US Tortious Interference Law, but maybe some one from the US can explain that better, i'm from EU, not 100% familiar with US law.
