Thank you. After much research, I think it was my crappy old windows, allowing in a lot of heat and humidity especially this past summer. I will try a different pad, thank goodness the floor is not damaged. It looks fine after cleaning it with vinegar and water and a toothbrush.

I’ve checked with my installation person. They told me to beware of felt and natural rubber pads as they tend to hold moisture which will damage the floor. That being said, what are some other options? I live in northern Arizona where dryness is more common than too much moisture.
