when browsing for books to read, i always look for book reviews. that is why i bring you my all time favorite books / the top 10 books to read this year that quickly turned into a very chatty and rant-y video about some of the most popular book releases. booktube and booktok have buzzed about some of these… and i LOVED them! i hope you guys enjoy this one and come out with more books to add to your TBR and some good book recommendations for 2024!

Omg. I’m new to BookTube and most booktubers I’ve come across are early twenties and I don’t know what the deal is but they ALL have the same exact books on their shelves and recommend the same top 10s exactly. Rinse and repeat. This is the first channel by a 24 yr old that I’ve found that’s surprisingly different and I actually wrote down some books to try. Cause if I have to sit through one more Sarah J Maas worship video I’m gonna lose it. This is refreshing and love the vibes and the shelf!

I'm the same with Addie. Another book I'm a broken record for is "i fell in love with hope" by lancali. I'm making it my life's mission to do everyone a favour by recommending this book to them!

I read The Poet X this year bc of you and it's easily one of my new favoruites!!! So well written and I wasn't expecting it to give me a crisis but I had to keep pausing to journal as my mind was spiraling lol. Heartstopper means more to me than I can express and the Brown Sisters is one of my favourite romances. I tend to say I liked the romance of Dani better but that Eve was so relatable and my favourite character so I constantly switch between which of the two books are my top of the series.

The Discovery of Witches Series is one of my all time faves. The audiobooks are amazing, and the narrator is one of the absolute best I've ever listened to. I highly suggest giving them a listen while following along in the book (my preferred way of enjoying books). Also I read Strange the Dreamer in January 2923 and the whoe reading experience just gave me this overall feeling the whole time I was reading it that I don't know how to properly explain, it was like this feeling of Awe, or Comfort or Wonder like you were reading a dream that you had before but couldn't remember it but it was crazy and amazing?!? I don't even know, what I mean is so hard to put the magical feeling into words but it was somthing ive never felt before, but I LOVED it so so much! It is definitely a book that I will love forever and be a top 10 for sure! ❤

I absolutely loved Empire of the Vampire this year and The Catastrophic History of You and Me loved that boom so much. Gave me the feels, emotional.
