Just ordered one with the fluted bezel and 41mm but that elevator shot is WOWWW. Absolutely gorgeous

I can see the logic of the Sub and Datejust combo. All bases covered. Under and over the radar. Oyster v Jubilee. Black and Blue. Tool and Dress. Smooth bezel and Jubilee just works at that large sizing otherwise we’d be thrown back under the glitter. Blue gives so many hues and looks as you say.

I have the same exact Datejust 41. I absolutely love mines. GREAT choice on the blue dial.

I have the same two watches! Datejust 41mm blue, snooth bezel on jubilee and a black Submariner 😃 (albeit mine is 41mm and with a date). The perfect two watch combo IMO

Took a look at the slate grey dial Wimbledon version the other day. Such an intriguing combination that really won me over. Subtle Rolex green backed Romans and a beautiful understated glittering display of light on the ever changing sunburst dial. It’s such a crossover piece in steel - between sporting good looks and sheer elegance. Look like a watch twice the price.

OMGoodness, I called today to see if they had a 36 mm steel and white gold fluted bezel and jubilee band with the blue diamond dial and it was just meant to be...they had just gotten a trade in and the watch was only 1 year old and in mint condition.had the box, all the paperwork..it looked brand spanking new...I could not believe it and it was just meant to be....it's beautiful..I love it..I am so happy happy happy....they said it looked like it had never been worn...I felt just like you..I have done nothing but stare at it on my wrist..and I got it at the preloved price...watching your video was the icing on the cake for me to buy one..again, thanks...

What’s more of a daily versatile dial color, black or blue. Blue seems a tad more amateur than the seriousness of the bright black.

Very nice my friend i know the feeling bought my first sub 5513 in 1984 its still with me bought a blue face datejust 36mm in1995 but unfortunatley let it go two years later which i regret loved the blue face. But im now back in full excitment mode having had almost 35 yrs to pick my last rolex which after a short time on the waiting list is at my ADs ready to pick up in approx 2 weeks when lockdown lifts its the bi metal rose gold yacht master 40 and im buzzing.

I guess the reason this wears smaller is because of the end links..they don’t protrude like oyster bracelet does so it wears “true to lug to lug” as it drapes down right at the lug. Nice watch!

excellent choice. .. for me too its either fluted bazel with oyester bracelet or jubilee bracelet with smooth bazel. its perfect combination for daily wear
