2017 Toyota Camry - Replacing Front Brake Pads - DIY

This tool is sometimes helpful if the pry bar trick doesn't push the caliper all the way in.

Just a quick video showing how to Replace Front Brake Pads on a 2017 Toyota Camry. This is the same process for many other Toyota and Lexus Models and Years.
You will need:
Screwdriver or small pry bar
Possibly a C Clamp or similar caliper compression tool
14mm wrench or socket
Sil Glyde Brake grease
Torque the Caliper Slide Pin bolts to 25 ft lbs.

Excellent high quality video for my first time brake job that took me about 2 hours to replaced both front brakes without buying excessive tools.

Doing brakes all around (rotors and pads) and each of the front brakes has one of the slide pins seized in the caliper brackets. Caliper brackets for a 2017 Camry SE are really expensive for some reason. I’ve got one pin so corroded that even with a ratchet it won’t spin! Never seen anything like this on all the front discs I’ve done in my life! 😢
