Number 80. Your Silent Face by New Order. I remember waiting for a Sting concert to begin, and this beautiful song with a soaring synth part was playing. I had never heard it before. I couldn't hear the lyrics, so I wasn't able to Google it. I randomly came across this video. THANK YOU! You found my mystery song! I'm 99% sure this was it, unless somebody out there knows a similar tune with subtle lyrics and a grand synth riff. It's a pity this song is never played on 80s stations. Anyway, thanks again, fellas!

Overall a great compilation of 80's synth pop. Well done. I grew up in the 80's and these bring back a lot of memories but I have to agree some other posts. You did omit a lot of other great synth bands of the era. Some songs you included were "ok" but others deserved a spot on this list. Great effort tho.
