Okay so I used to hate how Pearl acted towards Greg, but after hearing It's Over, Isn't It? and watching this episode made me realize she didn't hate him. She hated that Rose left her for him after all she did, which includes shattering Pink Diamond.

This video perfectly captures Pearls character and all the trauma “Rose” put her through. I love Pearl so much and her story, which was already sad before A Single Pale Rose, is so heart breaking. Pearl had to keep that huge secret inside for thousands of years, probably causing a lot of mental trauma. Pearl physically couldn’t tell her closest friends and fellow crystal gems. “Rose” fell in love with Greg and other humans even though Pearl went through all of that. I’m waiting for future episodes that might make more things clear, but as of now, Rose Quartz\Pink Diamond is absolutely despicable.

Beautiful animation, and great edit, I love the voices from A Single Pale Rose in the background.
Pearl is one of the best gems (She's not my fave but still one of the best) especially because she stayed on PD/RQ's side even after being forced to stay silent, choosing to fight for PD/RQ and rebelling, and even after thousands of years, PD/RQ somehow had no idea (Or did and ignored them) about Pearl's feelings and chose GrEg. Pearl is a skilled warrior and a great mother figure, and even after not being able to TELL Steven the truth, helped him find out anyways, and even though she is salty af, she is the best pearl.

The symbolism here is flawless, from the hand reaching up and the thorns wrapping around it showing her reaching out and it binding it's self to her like a painful weed and the imagery of the rose and it's thorns covering her ect it's so beautiful I just can't

Every so often I come back to watch this. It was the first animation meme I ever watched. I was terrified, and the whole facelessness and flowers were just horrifying at the time. But it's actually really cool now that I come back to it and watch it through a different perspective.
