My 1st Impressions Of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia - Better Than Riyadh?

Join me getting first impressions of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Jeddah is the second biggest city in Saudi Arabia and also known as the gateway to Mecca, due to being close by to the holy city of Mecca. After arriving in Jeddah already in my previous video (coming from Medina) i wanted a full day exploring Jeddah to get first impressions of Saudi Arabia's second biggest city, which I heard is actually the best city to visit in Saudi Arabia. People also told me that Jeddah is better than Riyadh. Let's see what Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is like! Join me in this Jeddah vlog as we explore the old town of Jeddah, meet friendly people and end the day at one of the most famous place in the city. If you plan to travel to Jeddah, this video might be helpful for your upcoming journey to Saudi Arabia too.

Jeddah or Riyadh, which city is better in your opinion? 🤔

Keep up the good work Ken. People in my country, England, are also very suspicious of Muslims. But this is from ignorance and misinformation. Every Muslim I have met has always been friendly and welcoming.

Can’t thank you enough for showing the true face of Muslim World. I am from Pakistan and student in Germany. Unfortunately, many people around here are not that friendly. But we love our guests and give them respect and high regard no matter what their religion and ethnicity is.
Thank you again Ken. Keep doing the good work

Never thought that I'd want to visit Saudi Arabia, but videos like this are very much changing my mind. The people seem absolutely amazing.

I just wanted to say thank you for all of your Saudi videos. My dad is from Jeddah. I live in the United States and I lost touch with him when I was a little girl after my parents divorced. My mom is German btw lol. Anyway, your videos have inspired me to plan a trip to Jeddah. My mom had always made it seem like a place I should be afraid of. She always told me how lucky I was to grow up in America. Idk about that. So far from your videos, everyone seems so nice and it’s so beautiful. I can’t wait to go with my sister. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but maybe I’ll even get to see my dad again for the first time in over 30 years. God willing he has not passed.

Hi Ken. I’m a Filipino living in the US. Watching your videos in SA makes me want to move there. I told my American husband how nice, clean, organized Saudi is. On top of that people are friendly, polite and respectful. They don’t go their way to harass and follow you or insist to buy their selling items unlike in the Philippines. That’s why I’d rather go yo other countries like SA. Everything there is authentic and organic. SA now is my top on the list to visit. By how the cities look I can tell Saudi government is not corrupt and people there know how to mind their own business. I have had cousins worked there in the medical field. I would choose Saudi over America or Philippines anytime!

If these types of videos are not proof enough that the western media distorts reality then I don't know what are.

Simply amazing people - a blessed Ramadan to our Muslim friends.

It is Saudi Arabia, Ken. It has a magic spell of making every person living there into a kind and a generous man or woman.

Jeddah used to be the hub for expatriates from around the world during the 1980s-2010s. Jeddah was the hub for americans, filipinos, Europeans, indians, bangaldeshis, and many more who used to work for Saudia airlines, Aramco, Riyadh Bank, and other big companies. I grew up there from 1998-2012 which I spent my childhood, and as an Indonesian, Jeddah is my second home. Watching your video just made my day, me and my family used to hang out in Balad and the corniche beach during the weekends, and surprised many has changed by watching your video. The beach you filmed used to be the place where they rented quad bikes and I as a kid back then, used to rent it and roam around the beach with it.. before it was renovated like this. Bring so many fond memories❤... Thank you for this video❤

Hi Ken. I’m a Brit Chinese born in England and have travelled a bit in the Far East. I stumbled through Youtube and found your channel & was immediately hooked!

I’ve been following you for 6 months. Never had the time to comment. But I have to admit you are my GO-TO for travel inspiration!

I can say I’ve seen every one of your videos! I binge on them as your videos are so interesting, informative, friendly and kind. Excellent editing. I enjoy all aspects of your videos, travelling/commuting experience, hotels, prices, cuisine, supermarkets, street food, off the beaten path travelling etc!

Love the fact that you agree East Asia is so lively - 24 hour living. I especially love your videos on places like China, Saudi Arabia places where the West generally have negative opinions of.

Your China series was an eye opener!

Please continue! All the best Liem
