Wow, Lisa. Thank you for sharing the story of Mary’s last days with so much beauty, grace, and love. While I never met her and only know her through your podcast, I almost heard somebody laughing when the lawn service interrupted your retelling of her story. It is so beautiful that you have this shawl as a keepsake in her memory. I am so glad she was well enough to sing happy birthday to you. Losing a parent can be so surreal. I am also glad that you have memorialized her last days by recording it into your podcast. Holding your family in my heart. Lorien💕

I have a quilt I had made for a loved one that has passed, and it brings me so much comfort when I wrap it around myself. The shawl will do that. Mary will be with you.

I’m finally catching up with my podcast watching and I just watched this episode tonight. I’m so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. The way you spoke of her, she must have been a real gem of a lady. I too was very close to my mother in law and lost her far too soon. You and Bryce and Owen are in my thoughts and I send you all hugs. 🤗
Your shawl looks beautiful and cozy and I know you will love to have it and think of her when it warms you. You always amaze me on how many things you do and how many podcasts you put out. 👍🏼👏🏼 I love all that you do and you are inspiring me to take on new projects that I never would have imagined.
Keep up the great job Lisa! ❤️

Sorry for your loss Lisa. Your shawl is now such a powerful symbol of life - never perfect, flawed, not to pattern but beautiful for all that and an expression of deep, comforting, warm love. May it bring comfort to you and your family in the days that lie ahead.

Hi Lisa. My condolences for your loss. Losing a loved someone is always so hard. My heart goes out to you, your husband and family. It is wonderful you can take such comfort in the beautiful shawl you made for her. Something to keep close for years to come. I am sorry I didn’t get to see this episode until now. We are in the middle of packing and moving and that means for me, catching up on all the episodes when I have a minute. Anyway, on a lighter note, I loved how your Tee came out. The colors of the stripes are so pretty! Your test knit came out beautifully. The yarn you used is gorgeous! Happy birthday to you! Until next time…Lorinda

Oh my I am so sorry that things took this hard and very sad turn. I have lost my mom and mother in law and it is very very difficult. Fortunately knitting came into my life about the same time as the years that my husband and I lost went through losing our parents. It can bring much comfort- may it be just that for you. Sending much love and prayers ❤️🙏
