Thank-you for sharing a most beautiful gem from your video vault. It is easy enough for even the casual viewer to note your concentrated fondness for Thomas Cook Airlines, and that you have somewhat of a void in your videoing since the airline stopped operating. In a sense, with that same affection, I miss the days of the 4 engine narrow bodies (707, DC-8, etc.). Not only do I think they are the coolest looking of all the commercial aircraft, but the service the airlines provided is totally incomparable to what passengers receive today. A typical “coach” (economy) class service is what generally one receives in today’s business class. Heck, even the airline food was delicious back then. Furthermore, liveries took on an almost art-like appearance compared to today’s blank billboard appearance.

As is generally the case whenever I view your videos, certain things grab my attention for further research. At best, the human eye is able to detect 8K resolution. However, we are able to process less than 4K, given our eyesight is perfect. Consequently, the 4K resolution of your videos will remain time honored for the most detailed achievable. Anything posted in higher resolution is impressive on paper only and really does not enhance our viewing pleasure.

As far as the information on this particular A330:
Type: A330-243
First Flight: 9 April 2001
Ceased Operations: 23 September 2019
Scrapped: January 2022

If you have immediately available, could you please provide me with the flight number and destination for this particular flight? As this video is a candidate for me to make screen captures for posting on one of my favorite Facebook groups, it would make the photo more personal to whomever might view it.

Oh yea… I’ve been meaning to ask you about the computer equipment you use to render your videos. My stuff is so old that it takes forever for applications to load etc., so I will shortly be upgrading my rig.

Again, thank-you my friend for sharing your artwork with us.

The 330 streams when heavy and the air is moist. The tips are designed to reduce drag and vortices from the wing, hence saving fuel. Also, when you pull in a turn, they get better…….. Just saying 😂. On the other end of the flight, particularly on Boings, they stream from the outside edge of the flaps. They cease on touchdown when the lift dumps from the wing on spoiler deployment.
