VMworld 2014 - EMC vVols VMAX3 Demo

Показать описание
This is a quick demonstration of the latest VMware Virtual Volume integration with EMC VMAX3 (using block protocol endpoints). Most notable is simplicity, but ability to surface and consume from VMAX3 SLO levels, apply QoS thresholds on a per VM-basis, but also to use the new TimeFinder SnapVX capability to hardware-accelerate VM copies, but also to create those copies into different service level/cost/performance pools. COOL!

Thanks to the great EMC team that made this demo video: Brian Tobia, Chris Banck, Karol Boguniewicz, Raj Dawar, Doug Pardue, plus of course the awesome EMSD vVOL team!

Chad, Why don't the capacities match? The datastore you selected has 100GB available and 44GB provisioned, but the hard disk for the VM only showed 40GB. Shouldn't they match? Or does that mean the rest is left for use somewhere else?
