I figured there was a way! Thank you for spelling it out for me and saving me the time and frustration of figuring it out. You probably also saved me a trip to town which is a half day journey and $30 in fuel. Thank you! I'll check out your affiliate links

Dude. you're awesome. mechanic wanted like $900 to fix my accord. (I paid $800 for the car lol). I was gushing oil and running like DOG SHIT between 2500-3500 RPM. He said bad VTEC valve, and said my sputtering/backfiring was a bad TPS, said he'd give me a break on labor cause the parts are like $700. I said "naaahh, lemme take a crack at it." lol. I saw the oil gushing from the solenoid, and got me a gasket set. ($2.95) this literally fixed everything. The reason it was running like shit was cause the spool valve was losing pressure and VTEC was actually making shit run worse because of it. TPS is fine, Spool valve/solenoid is fine. just needed a $3 gasket.

Same deal though, I didn't want to take the coolant neck off and deal with bleeding it back out and all that. I was gonna go buy some $50 short ratchet set that probably still wouldn't work, when I found your video. I dug around my "old crappy tools" box and found an angled 10mm that worked out. I didn't have an offset, but the angled one worked to crack it loose. (I did the 2-box-ends extension trick for leverage, it was a tiny wrench)

but yeah THANK YOU for saving me some money and trouble! I'm a poor person and I didn't have the funds to buy more coolant, other gaskets, etc. This seriously couldn't have worked out any better.

Great idea.
I replaced the top o-ring and figuring out a way to get around not messing with he cooling system.
A $15.00 investment in a set of offset wrenches will save you about an hour extra work.
Plus you get extra tools.
You can never have enough tools.

I was able to reach the hidden bolt, no problem, with a 10 mm Craftsman offset wrench (12 point). However it was really stuck on there and the offset wrench started to round off that bolt. I was worried. I re-thought things and found I could just fit a 10 mm 6-point 1/4 drive Gearwrench universal socket there and could force it enough with an extension essentially at right angle to the bolt. I think got lucky and got enough force on that now somewhat rounded bolt head.
Then things went smoothly.

My take is that my 12-point Craftsman offset couldn't apply enough force without damaging the bolt. So be careful if you find you have to push pretty hard. And if so maybe go the other way and remove the coolant system parts...

You are wrong about this, that 10 mm bolt is on their solid, almost rounded off the bolt . taking off the other part as bushoumo did is not that hard to take off

Why would you not do the seals on video that's the whole reason we're here
