Logic finally gets back to basics for a proper sendoff. And yes, I finally reviewed another Logic album!

I may not be a big Logic fan, but I respect that he’s retiring to focus on being a father.

Shame that Logic is retiring, at least we'll still have common sense.

In my opinion it’s a very good album solid 8.5/10 for me, also perfect is over hated.

Honesty, I LOVED this album. I never considered myself a huge logic fan, but I respected him and his music, at least his older stuff, like Gang Related, which is probably my favorite track of his. I actually had hope for this record. It felt like he finally pulled it all together to make one last great record, and he did just that. Seeing how emotional his fans are about this record really makes me want to explore his older stuff. I wish Logic the best of luck as a father and his future life. I’m proud of this decision. It was tough, but I understand why. He really never had a father figure in his life, and now he wants to be the father he never had. Absolutely amazing. Respect to this man.

In my opinion Logic may not be one of the greatest rappers of all time, but he was a great lyricist and he got too much hate throughout his career. this album reminded me of his first two albums which are classic. overall a great way to finish his career honestly

Jon Reviewing Logic's Debut Studio Album "Under Pressure" [2014]

*6 Years Later*

Jon didn't review recent mixtapes, recent studio albums, and that one soundtrack album

Except the final studio album "No Pressure" [2020]

Edited
Nevermind, apparently it's never was the finale for Logic in his one year "Retirement" in music

I’m really happy to see that he ended his rap career on a strong note instead of Confessions.

I think it’s his best album, and easily the best sendoff he could’ve done. I’ve been following logic since 2014 and he was my first taste of mainstream rap. I was mainly a classic guy, not really giving modern rap a chance, but then hearing logic made me explore more and find so many greats like Kendrick and Cole and so on. He was my first rap concert and the first artist I’ve ever gotten on vinyl, with under pressure. I’ve grown attached to logic which is why I’m sad he’s retiring, but I’m glad he ended his career, supposedly, with one of his best pieces of work

The No Pressure intro track is not Orson Wells. It was sampled from philosopher Allan Watts. Orson Wells was only sampled once on the outro!

You should also review pop smoke and juice wrld final albums, they were some of the most listened to and anticipated albums of this summer.

1-800-273-8255 really helped me mentally back in 2017/2018 (apart from that 'who can relate' line, that was corny af), here and there a few songs of his and features like Sucker for Pain and Zedd's Transmission too, but No Pressure is the first album of his i fully listened to and really liked! i can see why he's so 'hated' though

I'm kind of taken aback by all the people who have given Logic a, at best, lukewarm response over the years. And I know in the case of this review, among others, it's just individual people giving their honest opinion about what they heard rather than providing a "journalistic approach" for a magazine or something along those lines. And at the end of the day it's better that way. We don't all have to like the same shit, because if we did, what the hell would be the point of indulging in any medium of entertainment be it providing it, or consuming it. I didn't get into his music until late 2017, and by then he had been around for some time already, but I loved what I heard. I'm a big fan of most his material and I think he's almost always had a great sound, whichever sound he may have been toying around with. As for the remark about how "corny" some of his bars tend to be at mean, honestly, I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a rapper that, no matter how beloved, still has a line here and there that just makes even their most die hard of fans go "Really..?". I know I've had plenty of moments like that over the course of my time as a Hip Hop fan. Personally I got something out of nearly every single track on this supposed, final, album. I've always appreciated who Logic is at his core. Just a nerdy kid at heart who found an artistic outlet in musical expression and enjoyed giving us what he had to bring to the table. He may have made some head turning remarks here and there over his career (and I do just mean here and there, they were far and few between) but they weren't life altering with how egregious they were by any means, just somewhat controversial if anything. And nobody's perfect. I as well do question the legitimacy of this being his final album since he is a rapper after all, but if in fact it is, it was a damn fine note to go out on and I wish him nothing but the best for his journey through parenthood.

This definitely brought back the Under Pressure vibes. I really enjoyed this! Idk if this’ll be the “final” for real or whatnot, but hey this was great. The last two albums (Confessions of a dangerous mind and supermarket) were fucking horrendous AF. I still like “Everybody” and “YSIV” to this day (YSIV being my fave though)

I honestly fell off the Logic wagon as soon as he released Bobby Tarantino II. That pretty much ruined my perception/image of him since it was everything Under Pressure through Everybody wasn’t and I didn’t like it. The lyrical content was particularly the problem for me, but I’m also bothered by the fact that many of his songs sound the same. He hasn’t won me back yet and probably won’t ever do that, but I think maybe I’ll give him a chance now since it is his last* album.
