The devastating Maui wildfires may represent the first disaster in human history in which the death toll actually DROPPED after initial estimates. But island residents are quite frankly not buying the numbers coming out of the state government, and suspect the actual death toll may be as high as ten times what has been acknowledged.

Researching it myself, I found out Lahaina school district had about 3200 kids in K-12 last year. The local news said there were 3000 kids expected for this year. Our legacy nightly news reported after the fires that 400 kids registered in person and 200 registered for remote classes. That was their "feel good, " getting back to normal report. HELLO! Where did the other 2400+ kids go?!?! Not to mention their parents. No one is talking about it.😡😡😡

They did it to Katrina victims as well. Lots of homeless and others swept out to sea so they never got counted. That's why they are keeping locals out of the burn zone. As long as you can't point to a body, it didn't happen.
