Hi I’m considering k12 for my 5th grader she has adhd and is struggling a lot in school. I think we’re gonna go ahead and do this, we’re in Wisconsin. Thanks for your informative videos 😊

That’s so awesome that you found a charter school where you can personalize your curriculum!! I believe that God brought homeschool into our lives for a reason. You definitely see things way different than before. Homeschooling is the best decision we ever made🙂 I definitely have some off days but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Oh Jessica, you finally read my questions and answered 'em for me. Thank you for making me happier and warming up my heart! I'm getting something straight. Lillie no longer has her homeschooling online K-12 curriculum and she's transitioning into having her homeschooling charter school curriculum. I enjoyed watching your q&a video until its very end. I'll see you next time. 🙂❤️

Yay, so excited for you guys! I feel the same way about homeschooling and unless the girls want to go back we will continue to homeschool. Will you let us know what curriculum you picked? Maybe a curriculum haul! :)

Texas has tuition free public school through K12 it’s TVAH and TOPS. My son was in K12 at TOPS (Texas online prepatory school)

K12 is different in each state and I know for the state we're in, it used to be that you were assigned one of eight virtual options, depending on what your physical school District had chosen. We now have the option of choosing ourselves, no matter what district we are in. Our daughter chose to do virtual one year in high school and was put through the virtual option that our district had chosen. It was intense, but she could do it, as opposed to our son, whose 504 is something that needed a better adaptation virtually. I spent hours calling and emailing Virtial Administration and feel that we have narrowed down the school that will be a fit for him. You need to do your homework... you need to ask questions and be aware of all public free tuition virtual options that are available, if that's what you choose has your child's course of study.
If your school works with one only, you can usually petition for another. Good luck to all this year!

I personally think k-12 in Ohio is amazing. We now are going into our 4th year. Doing 2 children I need the structure that is in OHVA. I love that they supply all the books, computers, a printer. I love that the teachers help. I have no desire to leave this program. Maybe California k-12 is different.

Hello. So my son did virtual academy in my area in San Bernardino. He did well with that program in California. He was online every day of the week. Well, this year they are changing to either the student picking up his work once a week and doing the work at home where I will be the instructor or him doing hybrid. My son is special Ed and has thrived in the online learning and turning in his work with a teacher and assistant in the class. Have you come across any schools in California that follow that model? Was the public school online?

We start K12 October 21st, once the mask mandate went into effect our son stayed sick, he was fine at the beginning of the year when we didn't have to wear it . He said he didn't want to go back to school and that he was tired of being sick all the time .

I just heard from another homeschool mom about K12 and I’m considering starting my 5th grader January. We live in NY so we don’t have the public school option. We have to pay for k12 academy which is private so it’s around $500-$600 monthly.

I’m thinking of enrolling my 4th grader and 10th grader. Can I work full time at home while my kids are in class? Will there be a teacher available at all times teaching and interacting with my children or am I expected to sit with them all day?

Texas has both options. Private and public. Depending on the time of year when you try to enroll you might not see the public options. That happened to me when I tried to enroll. It was to early.

Im just trying to figure out what the hell k12 is because I keep getting flooded with ads for it on every single social media i have and I have 0 children.

The Texas issue is a state legislature issue. Texas prohibits virtual school for grades K-2. They amended the law during the pandemic to allow the younger grades since the schools were closed but that amended law has expired so no K-2nd public virtual options in Texas 😥
