Most underrated fuzzbox song, if not one of the 80's tracks of all time. Guitar work is class

When I was a boy travelling in my dad's car we passed a bus with fuzzbox on board and the lead singer blew me a kiss I've never forgot that moment, I'm 47 now lol

Truly underrated band! Remember seeing their full name on a chart show and discovering their alt punk stuff before the fantastic late 80s iteration

So many great things about this song. Vocals, power guitar, steamhammer drums, killer bassline, middle dropout. My favorite song from a great album.

Who wasn't a little bit in love with Vix or Tina? Or both? I never could decide which era of Fuzzbox I preferred. The messy alternative punk thing of the mid 80s or the slick pop thing of the late 80s. Both were fabulous though!

Had such a crush on Magz, the bass player, back then. Lonely teenage nights were never so much fun.

R.I.P Jo Dunne. Cannot believe she has been taken so young.

1989 What a fine vintage it was. Fuzzbox lead singer & Wendy James of Transvision Vamp, the good old days.

Finally found this after decades of wondering. This song was popular in the Australian charts in the late 80's, and it was the first and last I'd heard of Fuzzbox. For many years, I had only remembered the chorus and tried to find it by Googling, 'three piece girl band self'. This never worked. But today, I Googled, 'self self self lyrics' and immediately found it. And now I discover how popular they were in the UK, and how their guitarist sadly passed away a few years ago. Good luck to all of them, and RIP Jo Dunne.

Jo's guitar work was amazing. Reminds me of Dave Stewart, especially with similar jacket but she had a similar playing style, such a sad loss when she died.

How good is this even to this day. Not sure there were too many sexier front women than Vix, why wasn't she a superstar!?

Absolutely gorgeous women!  I bought this album and single when the media in Australia tried to do a bit of a push on Fuzzbox, but they never really made it here.  Brian May's guitar work on this track rocks!  :-D
