After years of DC cartoons focusing on Batman, Superman and Justice League, Warner Bros. took a new direction with "Green Lantern: The Animated Series" to coincide with the 2011 Green Lantern film. Sadly, the film’s poor box office performance and an oversaturation of related merchandise overshadowed the series, leading to its toy line being canceled and its early end after just one season. Despite its short run, "Green Lantern: The Animated Series" made a lasting impact with its well-crafted universe and strong storytelling. It remains cherished by fans not for what it could have been, but for what it achieved in its limited time. So, without further ado, let’s begin.

I absolutely adore this show. This series is perhaps DC's most underrated gem of a series and truly got me into Green Lantern as a character alongside John Stewart in the Justice League DCAU shows. This show really opened my eyes to how fascinating and massive the Green Lantern lore and mythos truly are, to the point that I honestly feel like there are countless amazing stories and concepts they could explore with the lore in live-action that they could even rival Star Wars' sci-fi worldbuilding. Green Lantern has the cinematic potential to become DC's answer to Star Wars and create its own cinematic saga of Green Lantern sci-fi projects. Ive even written some of my own story pitches for what a 6 part saga of Green Lantern movies could look like, all set in James Gunn's upcoming DCU reboot.
I especially love the fascinating lore surrounding the Emotional Spectrum of different coloured Lantern Corps and the different emotions they represent. I truly wish this show got a Season 2 (hopefully someday) because there are still a lot of stories and Corps we haven't seen yet, as the show teased the downfall of the Sinestro and the Yello Lanterns/Sinestro Corps, not to mention the Easter Egg's of Blackest Night (Black Lanterns) and the existence of the Emotional Entities.
Hal and Kilowog are some of my favourite GL characters, and the original characters of Razor and Aya are perhaps the show's most compelling characters. I love their relationship and how much they grow and yet fall as characters written exceptionally well. I hope the two can be reunited again in DC media someday.

I loved this show, still waiting for more of it even though it will never happen

Wait, so one of the enemies is the antimonitor. The same anti monitor that caused a multiversal calamity and Hal was completely ineffective against? Also, didn’t Sinestro become a yellow lantern almost immediately after Hal got his power ring.

I hate it when good series gets cancelled just due to toys not selling
I watched Young Justice Phantoms without seeing any previous seasons
As a DC fan, I hope it wasn't cancelled
Good thing it wasn't erased in Crisis on Infinite Earths film trilogy like DCAMU, Super friends, DCAU and Teen Tetanus Go
these four already ended their run with conclusion

Luckily, they continued a bit of the story in DC cartoons such as Justice League Action, Young Justice, and Crisis On Infinite Earth Part 3.
