Buying a plastic chair mat is SO complicated now. There used to be just ONE type of plastic chair mat and all of them were very thick and durable and they didn't sink into the carpet or leave caster indentations. I need to replace my old chair mat but have no idea what to buy anymore because most of the mats offered today are just useless garbage. GREED is the reason they do this. Years ago they didn't make this thin crap because manufacturers wanted to offer the best quality product available but that's not the business model anymore. Now it's all about maximizing PROFIT. You also used to be able to buy good, thick mats for $15-20 but today they're extortionately expensive. GREED makes me sick.

Why would someone need the spikes on the bottom, as opposed to the one you showed in the video? Does the one you have slide around the carpet due to not having spikes that dig into the carpet?
