Press release reviews are nice but these long term reviews are what’s needed and definitely appreciated. Thanks MCN!

The new Busa is a great bike. I'm glad you're enjoying it

I insulted the new Busa for having less hp than the gen2, then after really thinking about it I bought a black gen3.
Suzuki might have dropped 3% off the peak hp but it gained a huge 8% or more hp right through the whole midrange.
I'm really starting to get to like this bike now, the more I ride it.
It's a weird but amazing experience. It has all the stability of a battleship, but most of the nimbleness of a sport bike. Brakes and suspension are fantastic. Really nice neutral steering, you set it to any lean angle at any speed and it will hold it, you can just take your hands off the bars.
The midrange power is phenomenal, I've been watching people's stock dyno charts and the gen3 Busa makes about 120hp at 5000 rpm, compare that to say an R1 which makes about 72 hp at 5000 rpm.
It would be a lousy track day bike, and its weight and foot position is not good in stop start traffic. But once moving that unlimited midrange punch and superb handling makes it a real smile machine.
A naked bike is for hooning around town. A sport bike is for hooning around a racetrack. And a Busa is for hooning from one city to the next... 🥇👍😎

(Edit) re the fuel economy it I have very different experience. The dash says I'm getting 20 to 22km per litre cruising at 80kph to 110kph. So with a 20 litre tank that's 400 km per tank or so. In reality I've been filling it after about 280km, but I don't run it very low and I never fill it up tip top either. I think 400km to a tank would be totally believable on a touring trip for sure.

Covered all the ownership bases well. Good to see someone of smaller stature giving their opinion of managing a lump like the 'Busa. It would scare the pants off me. Quality video as always.

for speed, safety, comfort, this is the one, super reliable and can be serviced and maintained by any competent DIY guy. You can ride in the saddle for a couple hours. but why would you. you would have already arrived. My nick name for mine is 'never late' summer, winter rain or shine.

Brilliant. Thanks for the comprehensive review. Makes it even more attractive. Agree, specially with a bike like this, that outside of the test bubble a long-term review is necessary. There are a lot of great bikes that don't smack you over the head the first time you see them, and they end up being the best long-term relationships.

An honest review and respect for throwing around such a big machine. She's right about e 10 fuel . It's crap . My gsx s1000 gets 30 miles less to a tank when using it over premium
