This week I bought a Cuisinart 5-piece (three pans and two lids) clad stainless steel set for $44.99 and a Tramontina 6 qt. and a 4 qt. enameled cast iron dutch oven set also for $44.99 at my local Costco. Incredible deals out there right now and it isn't even officially black Friday yet. Thes two sets will be a gift for our niece who is a young mom and needs a good starter set. Cuisinart and Tramontina might not exactly be a "gateway drug" but the quality in these pans for the price is undeniable. 😊

I'm close to pulling the trigger on a Staub 4qt Dutch oven for $129. The only things stopping me are (1) I don't need it, which would be a total non-issue 😅 except for (2) I reached the point where I really, truly have no room for it.

Can you make a video about how to use enameled Dutch ovens? I want to get one as my first enamel Dutch oven, but I hear many things about them that make me hesitant to get one (ex. Don’t preheat Dutch oven empty or else the enamel will crack, shouldn’t boil water with it, that the enamel cracks easier on an induction cooktop because it heats up too fast even on low heat, etc). I’m trying to find the benefits of one too compared to my stainless steel pots besides heat retention

By no means am I conversant in French (barely get by in my native English), but I do recall from my three years of high school French classes the correct pronunciation of "le", "la" and "les". "Le" is the masculine form of "the" and is pronounced "luh". "La" is the feminine form, and is pronounced "lah". Finally, "les" is the plural form, and is pronounced "lay".

Scott, that is an excellent price for the Breville oven! I’ve purchased 5 over the past 5-6 years for myself and family. I brag all the time about that oven as my primary house oven as I live in a warm climate. I’ve also convinced 2 friends to buy one. I’ve upgraded my own twice and gifted my older models to friends and they’ve continued to work well! Haven’t had one die on us yet after 7-8 years! Well worth the money and last time I bought them on sale for $320 so $299 for current model is a great price! 👍🏻. GREAT price for the Staub 4 qt. 2 years ago they were selling for $99 with a glass lid, so great price for one with the solid lid! Really want that induction burner but too pricey for me. 🫤

In the UK here - Amazon have some great deals on Staubs in the Graphite Grey colour. £149 for a 26cm (10inch) 5.2L (5.5 quart) round cocotte with a steamer insert. I jumped on this same one last year (mine was Basil Green) as the way I saw it and see this deal now is £149 for a Staub with essentially a free steamer basket, is a pretty screaming deal!

Another one on Amazon UK in the Graphite Grey - 28 cm (11inch) 6.7 L (7 quart), round cocotte for £164!

French Canadian here! “La” (as in cat) prononciation (as you tried for LE) is the feminine counterpart of LE. The E (as in open thE door) is the right way to go 😉. By the way, I love your channel.
