I don't know why but I just hate databinding, it makes the XML so ugly and the code logic hard to understand by looking at Kotlin code. Had to look up an open source project code base using 2 way databinding, took me days to figure out the flow of data :(

Erros form data-binding are unclear and the build times for big applications can get like +10 min from using this liberty. Not to mention constant need to clean rebuild project, because data-binding needs to rebuild auto generated code. Not recommended.
