HOW TO CATCH TROPHY SPECKLED TROUT EASY + Nonstop Sea trout Fishing with Tips

Speckled Trout, or as some call them Sea Trout are one of the most popular inshore game fish to target, and in this video I narrate a tutorial of how to catch trophy speckled trout easy. I figured instead of doing a boring seminar inside my office or at my house to actually go out and catch these Sea Trout while showing and telling how to catch them!

Addicted to Specks in the surf/inlets for 35yrs (Topsail/Buxton). Hoping for no freezes this year.

surf tip- Find holes/bars at low tide in daylight, then fish those holes the last 4 hours of a falling tide in the dark, with dark/black pattern Mirrolures, . Awesome fun to find a school at night, all by yourself.

Trout are a lot more fun to catch on lighter line like 6 or 8 pound mono with a 15 or 20 lb fluorocarbon leader. You’ll get longer casts and better feel of a bite.

Louisiana is where it’s at, Baw. For you guys on the east coast that enjoy saltwater fishing, SE Louisiana needs to be on your bucket list. It’s truly a Sportsman Paradise. The speck and red fishing is the greatest in the country. Offshore is amazing as well. You can run 30 miles down the mouth of the Mississippi River and hit open water where the yellowfin fishing is second to none

do you think 8lb line is too light. Typically i fish for bass, and dont want to have to change my line for sea trout, but i am also using my ocean rod for redfish.
