Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is pushing for a speedy trial, giving just two days for oral arguments from House impeachment managers and Trump’s legal team. His proposed rules also wouldn’t allow for votes on calling new witnesses until after the arguments have been made. Democrats have blasted this proposed timeline, claiming that McConnell is trying to bury evidence against Trump. Rep. Adam Schiff, one of the impeachment managers, said McConnell’s timeline would lead to a ‘rigged’ trial.

I think you might find it interesting to shed a little light on a person who is working diligently to reduce the size of the U.S. Government to a size "small enough to be drowned in a bathtub".
