When my wonderful wife and I heard "The Dance", we fell in love with it, and listened often, it was special. We were happily married for 34 years, then she suddenly passed away, 9 months ago. "The Dance" took on a whole new meaning. Thank you.

I saw Tony Arata (the writer of “The Dance”) perform at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. I talked with him afterwards. He was so down to earth and humble and of course forever grateful that Garth Brooks recorded his song. It changed his life.

THE most favorite song at Christmas is "The Gift" sung by Garth Brooks. I have been interested for years in knowing the history of this tune. It has a Spanish flare to it, and reeks of how the Spanish culture so elonquently and poetically tells the story of a miracle by Jesus. As a grown man who NEVER sheds a tear, I cried when I heard it for the first time. Please, someone, tell me the history of this tune.

Garth, you have made some songs yours, absolutely. Some of the stuff you have put out since, have been utterly guff.

And yet he has "Written and Recorded by Garth Brooks" plastered across the front. Not strictly true is it?
