Thank you SO MUCH for this video, Kevin, and your helpful link to the parts on Amazon !! I used all the same equipment except I substituted a polycarbonate salad bowl for SS -- MUCH easier to fashion as required; I drilled a central hole for the PVC pipe and four holes around it. My husband John helped me with the fabrication. I just saw the results today out of the kiln and this a COMPLETE GAME CHANGER for me glazing small cups and bowls. The results were PERFECT !! No drips, easy to do different color interiors. The results are FAR more consistent than with hand pouring, swirling and dumping. -- Carol Green

Instead of destroying a stainless steel bowl, you could have a sheet metal shop make you a cone. That's what I did for pouring glace over larger pieces.

I found that the pump broke down after a period of time, probably 12 hours of use. It continues to work in water, but the minerals in the glaze maybe broke down the pump ability to move fluid that was too dense, like glaze.

Great video, I had saved an Instagram post but this is what I really wanted to see. Thanks, Can't wait to have this set up for my monster mug making! Total pain to glaze clean.

Hello Kevin, Thank you for taking the time to share this. Not sure where to find the amazon list of materials? The reason I am interested in this, I make large(ish) vessels, I have always had a problem glazing the inside, I'm normally left with glopes, blobs, or like tidal lines.... My pots are raku fired, and my failure to glaze the inside properly is driving me mad! :)
Is this powerfull enough to glaze large pots, and is it a even glaze?
Thank you again
Neill

Thanks for this very clear video. Have you tested with larger pieces (bowls, salad bowl, vase, etc.) ?

I had no idea making one of these would be so simple. Thanks for sharing!

Brilliant! But I suspect that a plastic bowl would be easier to cut than the stainless one!
Was there a reason you chose stainless?

Hey Kevin, Thanks for demonstrating this. I made one of these with a sump pump. I was disappointed that the glaze application was thin. I use if for my white glaze with titanium in it and it went yellow instead of white due to the think application. Didn’t matter how long I let it run. Do you make the glaze thicker than usual for this application or add anything to the glaze? Thanks, Sue

I’m unsure of the purpose. You simply pour the glaze in cup and turn it around and then dump. No mess to clean up. You would have to make hundreds before this would be practical. Still I’m not sure simply pouring it in wouldn’t be faster. Simply setup a 5 gallon water jug on the counter and press the button until the mug is full. Drain back into the container.
