I think both of Roy Rissanen's parents are Finnish, but he has lived all his life in Canada and clearly English is his first language. He became known in Finland a few years ago when he took part in a Finnish reality TV show, and he moved to Finland a couple of years ago with his adult son.

You are welcome to visit Finland. You would probably like the people here, most are honest and genuine, and like it was mentioned it's quiet and peaceful here, and our water, air and nature is among the cleanest in the world.

Finnish middle age man here. Being your subscriber at least year already. I really admire the important work you do. I think your channel should be at least 10× subs what it have now. If u continue to be creative like this, you'll get there.
You see, u r not only reaction channel. How much have u learn from various topics and many many countries?? You are getting a grasp about world overall...and u are coming influencers...Just keep your heads high, work well and never ever change.

Nothing but all the best

Coffee in the shop rather than in plastic or paper cup reduces waste too.
Too much plastic and trash everywhere.
Fast food really makes so much litter and consumes resources.

Taking into account the previous actions of Finnish parliament, homelessness will increase over next couple of years at least. The funding of all societies and government agencies has been cut down. As well as funds to help poor people live in their apartment. All this will increase the count of homeless people on streets and decrease the help they're receiving. It remains to be seen, if the next parliament reassigns the funding or not.

Love it when it cuts to the hefty slice of yummy at 13:58 and the voice says: "this you get all over Finland but not this much since they dried all the swamps and whatnot..."

I drink coffee mostly with some kind of sweet bun or pastry. It is an excuse to sit down and have a delicious moment not to slurp in a hurry.

IN Finland, we have the thing called "police", basicly peoply in blue in a van that are actually paid to keep us safe. I know its not like that everywhere

About the cemeteries: The Finnish church maintains a database online where you can check exactly where the grave of a particular person happens to be, with maps to show you the way. So if you're say, taking over the upkeep of your great grandmother's grave and need help to find it, you can simply check online.

0:49 only this far in but you two are spiritually Finnish. Straight face at a dad joke and no acknowlegement at him trying to make it more endearing 😂

Really don't understand how some countries have this habbit to wear shoes indoors... You just bring dirt, small rocks, spit, dog crap and what ever inside... And then little kids are playing on that floor.
It doesn't really do good for your feet too, feet don't get to breath at all.
Just disgusting custom 🤢

Rissanen is common name in Finland. Every finn will know how to write. Must be weird for this canadian guy to first time say his name and people dont even pay attention and in Canada everybody asking whaaaat was your name?? 😁

Finnish people do not "jaywalk", or in other words - cross a street carelessly without paying attention to traffic regulations, like red lights - even when it's middle of the night, no cars in sight, and absolutely nobody around. It's called high morality. It's the way you act, even when nobody is watching.
