I just upgraded from Studio One 3 and I absolutely love it. Some of my favorite features are the chord chart, the notes you can add to each track, the updated fat Channel plugin, and just the overall look of it is cleaner and looks great.

One of my favorite features: It runs perfectly fine on Windows, unlike some other DAWs that keep crashing.
The fact that you don't need one of these ancient USB dongles for licensing is also quite neat, of curse.

Great video 👍🏻. My favourite feature is Transform To Audiotrack (and back again). Very handy when working with several heavy VSTs and so on. Rock on! 🙂

I switched to it over a year ago. Most affordable daw that runs my VST3's properly

I really like the Pattern feature in studio one 4 for programming drums

Love the global plugin on/off button. To switch all fx off, record another vocal part, switch everything on again - and continue mixing :-)

My favorite features:
1. Hundred bucks less expensive
2. SoundCloud integration is WAY better than other DAWs
3. Access to Presonus loop store in app as well as the exchange in app
4. No stupid ass dongle (as someone who uses Cubase as well, I do enjoy that)
5. Automation is super intuitive
6. Impact xt has tons of features and is the full program (looking at you again Steinberg with your cut down groove agent and halion)
7. Maybe most importantly, StudioOne professional has an integrated mastering solution! No more need to spend $600 to buy Wavlab

I’m sure there are other things I’m forgetting.

That splice thing seems really good basically getting software on credit. I think it would stop a lot of people from pirating software that they can't afford.

I use the presonus mixer / sound card and its so amazing. 0 lag, easy to record live sessions with physical faders etc

Favorite features aside from mentioned: series III live mixer integrates just great. I'm using StudioLive III 32R as my soundcard. In StudioOne, I can turn phantom power on each channel, flip phase and before fx chain in StudioOne, you get FAT channel on each channel. AMAZING!!!

I'm still using 3.5 for mixing and I've had zero issues. It just...works.

I don't do in house studio work, but the Splice rent own. That's just a great thing. really wowed by that

Fluff have you dove into macros in S1? Really opens a whole new world of possibilities. That and being able to completely tweak the FX chain of a single track (splitters, etc) are some of the standout features for S1 for me!

I'd love to see a dedicated vid on Studio One RC... as a remote option for enabling drum tracks for recording 10 feet away from my pc. Thanks for the vid!

I often switch between S1(4) Pro and Cakewalk for my recording projects - overall I actually prefer the interface of Cakewalk slightly (just a personal preference and the S1 interface is definitely less cluttered!), but S1(4)'s chord track is uncanny in its ability to translate my crappy guitar playing into the chords I played, on which I can then use my (better) piano/keyboard playing ability to add VST synths to build up the harmonies... Until Cakewalk gets that like S1 does, I'm going to have to keep using S1 ;-). When I saw it announced for V4, I honestly thought it'd be a gimmick, but I was so wrong and it is a killer feature! Oh, and the project page in S1 would probably be another of my favourite features - a really simple interface for mastering with all the basic scopes you need to check frequency and stereo correlation in one place, along with loudness information - I've not seen another DAW that does that quite so well :-)

Is there a full version of your intro? I love it everytime

I love the native plugins from the daw, they dont eat alot of CPU which is always great. Also, right click to automate for whatever paramater you hover over is amazing!

Fluff, how about doing a proper tutorial of the Remote App feature ? Surprisingly no one has properly explained how it works and what it can actually do (or not do).

I am trying to find a new DAW that I I got like and considering Studio 1. Do you know if its possible to have different track visibility settings in the arrangement and mixer windows so that you can hide some tracks in the Arrangement window while having them visible in the mixer and vice versa?

Stock plugins are tits! Here's my top 5 stock plugins that I feel never need to be replaced:
1. Pro EQ (6 band parametric eq with lo/hi pass switch. Also has the ability to do a 0-36 db cut and 3 shelf options)
2. Multiband Compressor (if you've never used one or don't understand their usefulness, definitely look it up. This is a good one!)
3. Compressor (this stock compressor has just about every possible feature with probably 30 default settings for multiple instruments.)
4. Fat Channel (its 3 plugins in 1. A lot to discuss but definitely check it out.)
5. Soft tube (this plugin is free from the presonus website. It's a saturation plugin and I can't say enough good things about it.)

Also a great feature is in every plugin next to the default setting window is a button with a little paper with the corner folded. That button allows you to store any setting for any plugin and name it. Great for when you are using the same setting across many projects or doing templates. I can easily call back any setting for any plugin with just a click of a button.
