In this video I am going to explain how to use the VIX index and provide several strategies to help you understand which direction the market is trading in. The VIX index is a measure of volatility in the market and usually is inversely correlated with the S&P 500 index. In this video I am going to explain several strategies and techniques for looking at and analyzing the VIX indicator.

its usually used by big portfolio holders, not by traders. For example a minus year on my longterm portfolio i get a positive return on Vix (if i sell it on time)

What time should we look at the vix? Should I look at it at the vix close of day for the next day? Or should I look at the VIX at the 9:30 open?

i was looking at it the price action, and the vix Hight match, it doesn't mark a foretelling.... It just confirms yes that red candle, is showing green on my sheet... there isn't much delay between the red peaks and valleys on the other. This doesn't make much sense to help predict when the peaks/valleys are largely It's like Ah yes the chart that is going up is going up. But Sometimes I like to see the inverse of that happening. How does one benefit of it just confirming the bigger number is bigger, because the vix number is lower. Maybe I am a simpleton, but all you just said is it was an inverse, and when you compare, it's synced, one isn't delayed from another.
