Today Allison demonstrates how to line-brush and line-comb the close-fitting double coat type with Ripley the Australian Cattle Dog puppy! This technique, using a slicker brush, butter comb and volumizing spray can help you to add volume to the coat for that plush look.

In today's tutorial, Allison is using a Mark II slicker brush, a butter comb, and Bottoms Up in the Heavy Duty Double Action Trigger Spray Bottle, all by Chris Christensen Systems.

I would love to see a Video on how you groom a Hovawart. Since they are not well known in the US I can't find any good videos on how to groom them for the show ring. So I'm just brushing them but I think there is a lot more that could be done to get the best results.

Could we get a daily/bath day groom for these short double coated dogs? I struggle to find the right tools and techniques for my siberian and my lab/malamute mix. All double coated information I look up mostly refers to long double coated breeds. Thank you !

Would I use the Bottoms Up when grooming my Pembroke Welsh Corgi for a show?

Why fluff a Cattle Dog? It seems like it would cover up musculature.

Sorry if thats a dumb question. But Im thinking about showing my sport bred dog.

🤔 Now I know why my ACD gets hot faster than his bf. I thought he might have cardiopulmonary issues. That makes sense. I did not know it was called a double coat.
