The 3rd one is visually the best. It looks STUNNING! But I'd argue that some may find it less easy to navigate. Also, the mobile version is very important, I'd like to see the inclusion of that aspect next time :) Love your videos!

I like #2. I'm a graphic designer and I'm trying to put my portfolio together and that one helped me in the direction I want to go

Wow! Hard to choose between #1 & #3 but the way the page reacts to the mouse in #1 puts it at the very top for me! Thanks for sharing!!

1 more quick question/point. You should showcase which platforms were used to build these sites (ex: wordpress with elementor or what jave you)

I really like #3...it is very attractive, not boring at all. When I looked through the portfolio, I like how it kept the same theme, however, I had some difficulty following it.

All three websites uses hover interactions really well and are visually stunning

It is a huge bummer that hover does not exist in mobile platforms which most websites are viewed in at the moment

Please show us some nice examples of mobile websites as well

White text on light beige background looks good but it is not WCAG compliance, which means bad feasibility and it will affect user experience of the sites.

The 3rd profolio definitely catch my attention, the touch of animation was a great combination that flow so well w/ their work

Id love for you to also talk about the mobile version of the design.

4:50 For me, the hovering animations are too much because you can't scroll without triggering a portfolio item (and its animation). I would like to have some white space here.

Boss you are good boss.
You are a good mentor. I have been so stuck building up my portfolio site for months now. I think I can pick some ideas from here. ❤❤

Good post. The old saying: KISS - keep it simple stupid.
All type font the same, all images the same size, two colours or three if you know what you're doing.
White or black text, go for creams and greys if you can, more subtle and refined.

Thanks for sharing and hope you are safe!

As a hiring manager, I will say DO NOT sacrifice performance for animations. Usually when I see overdesigned portfolios like this, I prepare myself for the worst and I immediately start staring at my watch. You get 2.5 seconds for the DOM to render. I have 100+ portfolios to go through, I'm not impressed with whatever animation library you used to make this.

Can you do a video on how to create a nice portfolio and what's the best platform/themes to use for those (graphic) designers who are not so good with web development?

I was looking at the number 3. Good start for sure. However, I believe that you should always have an option to skip the intro animation if you come back again to the page. Also if I see in there are 5 projects and I can't go ramdonly to any one of them that is not that so good for a client. Besides, I can't open number two and beyond. There are a lot of new portfolios out there try to impress. Better to first check some of the real master in design such as Milton Grass or Paul Rand among others. Minimalistic portfolios where what they do is what really matters.
