I am just here because I have a hard drive attached to my wireless router. I have been able to get to it just fine in Windows file explorer but not it suddenly for apparently no reason tells me it is read only and then doesn't let me get to it that same way. Does Windows do some sort of update that causes it or does it just one day decide it hates me?? It tells me to move rename or really anything for that matter with my files I must use a different proxy. Does Linux also pull the same shenanigans randomly like this too or is it just Microsoft not leaving things alone that used to work fine? You never know when it will do it. On a new install of Windows it may happen really soon or take a while. If I tried to get FTP access to the same drive from my other Windows PC it ironically might not do it there. Something is rotten and I don't like the smell of it!!

The solution to mine was to open the task manager and restart Windows Explorer. I just found that now. I wonder if it will still do it next time I start the computer. Sometimes computers do weird things.
