There's poetry to this. A band who lost its drummer playing with a drummer who lost his drummer. 🥲

Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee haven't lost a step over all these years, still phenomenal musicians.

You can almost hear Danny’s thoughts while he’s up there.
“I can’t believe I’m up here with RUSH!!!”

Danny Carey could pull a Rush tour off. Never thought I would say that about anyone.

Can you imagine having a current Rush concert with rotating drummer carousel to try to play all of their songs? Get all the current bad assess and have them rotate thru the Rush catalogue for 3 hours. I'd go see that in a heartbeat...

Dave and Chad are both amazing drummers and both were drumming their asses off. But hearing Danny Carey on YYZ was incredible. There will never be another Neil Peart but stylistically, Danny is about as close as it'll ever get. This was an amazing tribute to both Taylor and The Professor.

Amazing to me that Alex doesn’t show up in “Greatest Guitarist” lists. His dexterity and sense of timing and time signatures … amazing.

Danny playing with Rush gave me serious goose bumps.

Major shame that more humans just don’t know how incredible this tribute concert or these kind of moments were. The blending of generations and creative crossroads.

Danny almost nailed the YYZ intro, that intro bit is tuff to nail and playing it live with RUSH makes it a little harder I would imagine and the fact he is playing on a drum kit that he may not use on the regular makes it even harder. Good stuff Danny! Legend

As a drummer myself, I can only imagine how Dave (a rock star himself) felt playing RUSH's music with Geddy and Alex. A dream come true for any drummer. R.I.P. Taylor and Neil

As a drummer myself I'll say this, 'The Professor' will be missed. The impact Rush had on the music world is undeniable. Anytime Geddy and Alex take the stage now and perform with various drummers is just one more gift we get from Rush. And for each one of these drummers, every one a star in their own right, you know it has got to be one of, if not THE highlight of their lives. I hope Geddy and Alex will continue to, Exit... Stage Left. 🤘🤘

Watching an excellent drummer like Grohl hanging on for dear life during 2112 and thinking back to how calm and collected Neil Peart always seemed makes me appreciate what a virtuoso Peart was.

No pressure, just filling in on drums for the GOAT.

One more thought: Danny is killing YYZ. So good. Lot of emotion on the big man's face. Phenomenal drummer. Wasn't ready when Geddy spoke of Neil. Still get a little emotional. Never met the man and he never knew I existed. But his words had a profound impact and his music inspired me my entire adult life. This is amazing. Would be great to see more like this but for a happy occasion.

Love hearing the woman cheer for Geddy. When you consider the legendary place Rush has in rock history, it's amazing that they're such nice, drama-free people. Can't help but love 'em.

Alex's guitar tone is killer in this! Raw power like in the old days.

Chad Smith nailed this! And I'm a bigger Carey fan. Amazing!

Dave Grohl was amazing. I can’t believe how incredible his timing was. 2112 is so hard to play that tightly and in a a one-off performance to boot.
Just phenomenal
