My friends recieved Pioneer audio equipment as a wedding gift back in the 80's. Now they are getting divorced & neither want any memories of their 35 years together, so they were happy to give all their audio equipment to me!
Unfortunately I dont know much about vintage electronics, but that's why I'm watching this video.. trying to figure out how to price this stuff. Thanks for the info!

What a gorgeous collection and display. My dad's vintage Pioneer amp collection got me hooked on 60's and 70's audio design. What a gorgeous era.

I love the sound and looks of vintage Marantz but nothing sounds better than a good vintage tube Fisher.

"silver face" ! yeah....they were beautiful and silver!
I really can't understand why audio companies don't build them as attractive as they used to!

Rosie, I've always enjoyed your superior wall-of-sound. Thanks for showing it. NOW, let's turn them on just to show what they look like in a subdued lighted room!

Gotta have wood, trimmed with silver and smoked glass. There, all you need to know. I admire your complete confidence. Way we should all go. I like the orange chair most!
Somebody must have commented on your great rack system so I will be tasteful and desist. Your right. Quality. You got it in spades.

What an awesome collection of vintage receivers you've got there. It's nice to see somebody so passionate about vintage audio equipment too. The 70's really was the golden era for hifi equipment. The last great hoorah for affordable audio equipment (discounting really expensive, high end stuff) was possibly Pioneer's Blue Line series in the early 80's. It's hard to find much after that time that has the beautiful metallic faces.... it mostly all turned to plastic which was no doubt cheaper to produce but it doesn't look nearly as nice.

I love those old stereo receivers, but instead of collecting the actual thing, i collect photos of my old favorites, and have a file I call 'Stereo Daze' for everything audio. I do have one 1974 Marantz 2015, a whole 15 watts per channel, perfectly fine for me, 65 and counting.

I just bought a Harman/Kardon twin power 730 and in searching info about the HKs came across your channel. This vid is great, loved the tips, especially about looking for sellers who know how to pack and ship properly. I wouldn't have thought of that!

Cheers, Tom
