#Jamuary2023 - 01 - The Prize Giving

I’m going to attempt my second #Jamuary and try to upload something each day. I’ve got a bit more going on at the moment than last year so decided to do a bit of prep. and sort out the visual side beforehand so that I can just concentrate solely on the music each day during January. I don’t think that’s cheating 😊.

I enjoy working from ‘found’ things that inspire me and I stumbled onto a YouTube cine film that a fella had posted that they he literally found on a DVD in a charity shop in Kent UK. He doesn’t know who the family is and has left a nice comment that he hopes someone from the family comes across it and they can have it.

The other ‘found’ objects that I aim to use are an old sample CD that surfaced when having a sort out. It came with a music magazine quite a few years ago and has never seen the light of day until now. I will sprinkle a few of the sounds around and see if it helps 😊. I’ve also taken a few spoken phrases from audio stories found on Wikimedia.

Happy new year MBug. Great start. Those banging percussion turned thought provoking. I like the idea of the found video sparking the music ideas. Great idea to prep the vid side too as that can be draining every day. Til tomorrow 🙂
