Post Press Configuration:
The Post Press system consists of floor conveyors, a waste ejection system, an RS 830 rotary trimming line, an RS 3617 newspaper stacker and a crossstrapping unit with top-sheet applicator.
The shingled stream is transported from the folder delivery to an RS 220 bumpturn that realigns the spine leading productions for three-side trimming.
A central waste ejection system disposes of start-up, blanket washing and splicer waste.
The RS 830 "all-in-one" trimming line guarantees a precise trim with features like long stream aligners with "Hexbrator Technology", integrated knife cooling and a trimming lower knife.
The machine is specifically equipped for the trimming of newspapers with special-non-marking belts and vacuum option.
The trimmed products are then turned into neat stacks by the RS 3617 indexing stacker. Thanks to its intelligent servo-pusher system which is synchronized with the delivery belt, the stacks are safely ejected into the cross-strapping unit with integrated top-sheet applicator. The finished bundles are then piled down manually onto pallets.
