I played it once. My impression is that, while it was a lot fun and I am glad I played it, there isn't much replayability here. And for a board(ish) game replayability is important.

Thanks for the review. I printed this game recently and awaiting a chance to get together and try it out. Life is Strange was an amazing adventure and I love that this game recreates some of that experience. I really appreciate both that you are reviewing something a little different and that your review style is a bit different too.

I just ran this for five teenagers who have never played RPGs before (my daughter asked me to get it for a trip with her friends). I actually wish I had started them with a different game to get them used to the idea of roleplaying in a more traditional format. This game would be amazing for practiced roleplayers; it required a LOT of prompting for newbie teenagers. The game requires confident creativity to play well since the storyline is so fluid and collaborative. Especially when you get down to the 30 minute, 20 minute and 10 minute cards - the evidence you make up for the final suspect might be totally wrong depending on the 20 minute and 10 minute outcomes. I ended up pulling the last two cards so I could give hints to the player who pulled the 30 minute clue card.

I have to play this one. Also an alternative videogame suggestion for those who love "Life is strange" - should also try to play "What Remains of Edith Finch", great 2-3 h cinematic experience!

To answer the question at the start, I figured it out very recently - it's a chamber larp! I was gobsmacked when I realised this.

Hey guys, really enjoyed the video! I think I might pick this one up. Just a question: Would I be able to play this with people who are not in the same household? E.g. Are there cards that they would need to access, making it difficult to play over online video streaming? Thanks!
