if the torret shot is already coming to you while you have your ult activated dont run away, couse every second longer in which it doesnt hit you may lead to the second when your ult goes off.

Your ultimate protects you for 5 seconds.
If you're ultimate has 1 second left before it times out and a tower shot has locked onto you, it will hit you NO MATTER WHAT. So it's better to face tank it ASAP in hopes your ultimate is still active before it hits you. THUS you can not die.

I hope that clears it up.

Tower shots chase you to china and back, so don't try to out run them with spinning slash.

He has his place. You need to pick him against a champion who can't deal with poke, and make sure your teamcomp isn't reliant on a Tank top laner

when your ultimate is active, if the turet shots at you you better face it because if you run away it will take longer to get to you, so your ult might go off and you will probably die.

I am, a lot on my smurf right now.
I will be going for that D5 on my smurf, and then catch up with my main probably.

Basically, 13games as Tryndamere in Gold on my smurf (G5->g1) only lost 1, including a win as Malphite and Zed. Also the players I am stomping are Plat 3 -> plat 5 due to my smurfs mmr.
